• Digital Video Recording -As a provider of a wide range of military imaging and video products, PhotoTelesis also offers a line of modular Digital Video Recorders.  The modular design of the PhotoTelesis DVR permits users to customize their recording solution to their unique requirements, and also enables users to easily and cost effectively upgrade their system as requirements change.
• Tactical Communications Protocols - PhotoTelesis® has 20 plus years of experience transmitting data over wireless channels. Maintaining the integrity of your data when transmitting over narrowband channels with 10% bit error rates requires a robust data transmission protocol. The PhotoTelesis PTAC software protocol is an efficient and effective means to transmit data in harsh tactical environments.
• Image Compression/Transmission - High resolution images can easily represent 1 MB of data and transmission rates for narrowband circuits range from 4.8Kbps to 16Kbps.  A standard uncompressed high resolution image could require 27 minutes to transmit.  Image compression techniques can reduce these transmission times to manageable levels.  PhotoTelesis products include a suite of Image Codec's depending upon the user's requirements. Our wavelet compressor offers a compression ratio of 50:1, while maintaining excellent image quality. This reduces the above transmit time to less than 20 seconds using PTAC, assuming a 16Kbps transmission rate.
• Government Imagery Standards - PhotoTelesis products comply with the NITF (National Imagery Transmission Format) standard, an advanced United States and NATO interoperable image format and a standard for image communications for US and Allied Forces. PhotoTelesis was the one of the first companies NITF certified.
• System Integration - PhotoTelesis is committed to providing a complete image transmission solution vs. an assembly of components. Customers receive leading edge systems with a seamless interface which is optimized for performance and low cost. Customer requirements have driven the company to develop, with IR&D funds, products used on various platforms, i.e. vehicle, aircraft and man-portable units. This has resulted in building a wide array of off-the-shelf products for Aircraft, Special Operations, and Law Enforcement. The majority of the company's products have been sold as Non-Developed-Items on Indefinite Delivery Order or Fixed Priced Contracts, mitigating customer financial and technical risks.
• Low Cycle Time Development/Production - Using a successful product development strategy, the company has reduced the time and cost from product definition through design, development and pilot production.
